Thank you so much for this. Violeta Parra is rightfully celebrated as a songwriter and social activist, but her role as a researcher of traditional music in Chile is sometimes overlooked. To her, all three aspects were equally important, and this reflects very strongly in her work.
But most of all, my parents used to play her music when we were living as refugees in Glasgow, and these recordings remind me of those days.
Could these be re-uploaded? I downloaded the last two albums and love them, the rest are apparently logged under a special account.
