Aw please, at least Matador/SY were polite and not dicks about it. They didn't threaten anyone with a lawsuit or send a nasty, mean spirited letter. I bet the reason that this blog was targeted was because someone at Matador is a fan of the blog. Wait until the street date of the album, repost it, and I bet they will not bother you a bit.

i agree with the other anonymous... but seriously if the label or band says please take it down, then it's only right to comply. I have a small label and most of the time I don't mind if my obscure or OOP releases are on blogs but now and then when I release a new CD and it appears on a blog I ask the owner to take it down or put up some sample tracks and tey usually comply. If the repost it in 6 months then I don't bother. at least let me sell enough copies to make a small enough profit in order to pay royalties to the band!!!

ok - thanks and GREAT blog!
